Disappointed By The Word God Gives Us 4•19•26

In this powerful Sunday message, Apostle Junie Kelley explored the weight of disappointment and what it feels like when life does not go the way we hoped. Disappointment was defined as feeling unhappy, dissatisfied, and discouraged because expectations were not met. Yet, through the Word of God, the message revealed that even disappointment has purpose in the hands of God. Sometimes when healing comes, God shows His power openly. Drawing from Psalm 34 and Psalm 18, Apostle Kelley reminded us that if we want the good things God has for us, we must passionately pursue Him and seek Him first. Disappointment becomes especially painful when we have already decided how God should answer, but true faith trusts Him even when His response is different from our expectations. The story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5 showed that God’s way may not always look like what we imagined, but His way is always right. This message calls believers to let go of pride, surrender personal agendas, and trust that whether God says yes, no, or wait, He is still being good.
