In this powerful teaching, Apostle Gregory Kelley unpacks 1 Corinthians 12:10 and explains the declarative gifts: the Gift of Prophecy, Gift of Tongues, and Gift of Interpretation of Tongues. These gifts are not given as rewards or earned through performance, but are freely given by God to strengthen the body of Christ.
Apostle Kelley brings clarity to the gift of prophecy, explaining that prophecy does not simply mean knowing the future. Instead, prophecy is the release of words of encouragement from God. According to 1 Corinthians 14:3, prophecy brings edification, exhortation, and comfort. It instructs, improves, strongly encourages, and brings ease to the heart of the believer. While the gift of prophecy and the call of the prophet are different, both must operate from a place of love. As seen in Ephesians 4:11-12, the purpose of these gifts is to equip, build, correct, and mature the people of God.
